We recently returned to CoLa Training Services to carry out another commercial surfacing project, resurfacing the access areas and paving around their premises to provide a cleaner, harder-wearing and more professional finish.

CoLa Training Services is a customer we have worked with for a number of years, completing repeat work at their site as different areas have required attention. Preparing the Existing Surface

As with any resurfacing project, good preparation is essential.

The existing access areas had become worn and uneven in places after regular use by cars, vans and larger commercial vehicles. Before applying the new surface, the area was prepared to create a suitable, stable base and address the rougher sections of the existing paving.

Particular attention was given to the entrance, vehicle access routes and transitions between the existing concrete and surrounding surfaces. These are some of the highest-traffic parts of a commercial property and need to be finished correctly if the resurfacing is going to perform well over the long term.

Once preparation was complete, the site was resurfaced to create a much more consistent finish throughout the property.

The work covered a substantial area, including:

• Previously worn and uneven sections of paving

The finished surface has completely changed the appearance of the site, replacing the mixture of older and repaired surfaces with a much cleaner and more uniform finish.

Following resurfacing, the entrance now has a smart, continuous finish leading directly from the roadside into the premises.

The new surface also complements the building and existing brick boundary walls particularly well, giving the whole frontage a much more maintained and professional appearance.
